Certain motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 108 and 123. 1) The lettering on the compliance label is less than 2 mm in height. 2) The replaceable headlamp light source is not properly market with DOT. 3) The rear reflector below the licence plate is 30 mm lower than the required minimum. 4) The rear side reflector is not mounted as far rearward on the motorcycle as practicable. 5) The ignition is not properly labelled "ignition". There is a risk to vehicle conspicuity, at night, due to the mis-positioning of the rear and rear side reflectors.
Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 135. Specifically, the "WARNING: Clean filler cap before removing" portion of the required statement on the brake fluid reservoir cap was omitted.

Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 101 & 108. The Body Control Module (BCM) was programmed incorrectly during vehicle assembly. The program that was installed resulted in an odometer reading that indicates miles per hour rather than kilometres per hour. No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect for correct calibration and reprogram the BCM, if required.

The dealer-installed accessory trailer wiring harness includes a circuit to provide for back-up lights, if present on a trailer, to illuminate when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. When installed, and the ignition key is turned to the accessory position, the electronic display in the instrument panel indicates the actual position of the gearshift selector and also illuminates the reverse position indicator. If the reverse position is selected only the reverse position indicator will be lighted. The actual function of the transmission and that of the trailer lights will not be affected. When the ignition switch is in the accessory position the engine will always be off and the gearshift cannot be moved from the PARK position.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Since this does not pose any safety risk, no corrective action is required.

Certain Volvo 850, S40, V40, V50, V70, XC70 and XC90 equipped with integrated child booster cushions were incorrectly labelled during vehicle assembly.
