Defect

On certain vehicles, the steering shaft pinch bolt hole may be incorrectly located. As a result, the steering shaft may separate from the steering gear which could lead to a sudden loss of vehicle control and a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the steering shaft.
