Major League Recalls (“the Site”) is operated by an individual (“we,” “us,” or “the operator”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Major League Recalls is an informational service that consolidates vehicle safety recall data from Transport Canada and the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), along with related owner-complaint information and educational content. The Site lets you search and browse this information by VIN, make, model, and year.
The Site is provided for general informational purposes only.
The recall data, owner-complaint information, severity ratings, summaries, and other content on the Site are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
In particular:
We do not warrant that the Site will be accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.
Nothing on the Site constitutes professional, mechanical, legal, or safety advice, and nothing on the Site should be relied upon as such. The Site cannot tell you with certainty whether a specific vehicle is affected by a recall, how serious any issue is for your vehicle, or when or how a repair should be performed.
For questions about your specific vehicle, always verify open recalls and repair status directly with your dealer or through the official Transport Canada and NHTSA recall portals. Always follow any “Do Not Drive,” “Park Outside,” or similar warnings issued by manufacturers or regulators.
The Site participates in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. This means we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through links on the Site, at no additional cost to you. The presence of an affiliate link is not an endorsement, and we do not guarantee any product’s suitability, quality, or safety.
The Site may display advertising served by third parties, including Google. Third-party advertisers may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Your use of advertising and third-party services is subject to those parties’ own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on cookies and advertising.
The Site may also contain links to third-party websites, including government portals, manufacturer pages, and retailers. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content on it. This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from reliance on recall data, severity ratings, complaint information, summaries, or any other content, or from any decision made or action taken based on the Site.
Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.
Underlying recall and complaint data originates from Transport Canada and NHTSA and remains subject to those agencies’ terms and any applicable government-data licensing. Original content created for the Site — including written articles, summaries, severity-rating methodology, visualizations, page design, and the Major League Recalls name and logo — is the property of the operator and may not be copied or reproduced without permission, except as permitted by law.
You agree not to use the Site to violate any law, to scrape or harvest data in a manner that burdens or disrupts the Site, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site’s systems, or to interfere with any other party’s use of the Site.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
