3 recalls across 3 model years
The Aston Martin DB12 has 3 recalls covering 2023 through 2025 model years, with the most serious being defective engine oil cooler hoses on 2023–2025 vehicles that can split and leak oil, potentially stalling or seizing the engine or starting an engine fire.
The oil cooler hose issue spans the full production run of the DB12 to date. On 2023 models, the hoses were not manufactured to specification and can fail and leak oil, causing a sudden loss of drive power or an engine fire. On 2024–2025 models, the same hose can split during normal driving, dropping oil pressure rapidly and leading to the engine stalling or seizing. There is also a software issue on 2024–2025 models where the infotainment home screen can overlay the rearview camera image when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, blocking the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle.
