AUDI Q4 E-TRON Recalls

The Audi Q4 E-Tron has 6 recalls covering the 2022 through 2026 model years, with the most serious affecting 2024-2025 vehicles where the on-board charger can fail to keep the 12-volt battery charged, causing a sudden loss of drive power while the vehicle is in motion. The 2025 and 2026 model years have a front seat belt retractor issue where the torsion bar inside one or both retractors may have been damaged during production. A damaged torsion bar can cause the retractor to fail in a crash, leaving the belt unable to hold an occupant in place. On the drivetrain side, 2024-2025 models share the charger defect described above, and the power loss it creates raises the risk of a collision. Turning to the 2022-2023 model years, the head curtain airbag can strike a metal strip inside the front door seal as it inflates, tearing the bag and preventing it from protecting the occupant's head in a side impact or rollover. There is also a lighting software issue on 2022-2024 vehicles where the parking lamps can switch off when the headlights are on and a turn signal is activated, making the vehicle harder for others to see at night or in low visibility.
