Audi Sq7 Recalls

The Audi SQ7 has 11 recalls spanning the 2020 through 2026 model years, with the most serious being a 2021 engine defect where cracks can develop in the cylinder bore, potentially causing a stall or oil leak that raises the risk of a crash or fire.

The 2025 model year has a separate fire-related concern: the high-pressure fuel pump fasteners may not be properly tightened, allowing fuel to leak near potential ignition sources. On the 2024 model, the driver's seat side airbag may have been improperly mounted to the seatback frame, meaning it may not restrain the occupant properly in a side-impact crash. The 2023 model has a passenger seat sensor issue where the front passenger airbag can be incorrectly deactivated and fail to deploy in a crash.

Rearview camera display failures appear across several model years. A software error on 2020-2026 vehicles can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying at all. On 2022 models, a separate software issue can cause the camera image to fail to appear when the driver first begins reversing, and a related infotainment system fault on 2021-2022 models can also leave the rearview camera display blank. The 2021 model year has an additional camera display failure tied to the same consequence.

The 2021 model year carries several other issues. A software error can cause the instrument panel display to go dark, taking the speedometer and warning lights with it. Rear axle misalignment on 2021 vehicles can cause uneven or premature tire wear. There is also a rear seatbelt retractor defect on 2021 models where the retractor may not properly secure a child restraint system in a crash.
