3 recalls across 4 model years
The Audi TT Roadster has 3 recalls covering 2016–2018 model years, with the most serious being a driver's airbag inflator defect on 2016–2017 vehicles where the inflator can explode during deployment, sending metal fragments into the cabin and raising the risk of serious injury to occupants.
The 2018 model year has a separate fuel hose quick connector in the engine bay that can detach from the fuel supply line, causing fuel to leak near hot engine components and increasing the risk of an engine compartment fire. On 2016–2017 models, a software issue can leave the side marker lights inoperative when the parking lights or headlights are on, making the vehicle harder to see at night.
