The 1990 and 1991 model years share a cruise control issue where a guide bushing deteriorates over time and causes the throttle control rod to bind, preventing the throttle plate from returning fully to idle. This can leave the engine running above idle speed when the driver expects it to drop back down. On 1991 models, the rear speaker amplifiers contain a capacitor that can leak electrolyte and, in humid conditions, create an unintended electrical path that causes the amplifier to overheat and poses a fire risk.
