4 recalls across 6 model years
The Bentley Arnage has 4 recalls spanning the 1999–2009 production run, with the most serious being fuel line defects on 2000 and 2001 model years where leaking fuel near hot engine components can cause an engine compartment fire.
The 2000 model has a fuel return pipe that can wear through from repeated contact with the exhaust manifold, allowing fuel to escape near an ignition source. The 2001 model has a separate issue where the crimp securing rubber fuel hoses to their steel fittings may be improperly positioned, also allowing fuel to leak in the engine compartment. On 2007–2009 models, the retractable "B" hood ornament's mechanism can corrode and fail to retract in a pedestrian collision, increasing the risk of injury to the pedestrian. Going back to the earliest production year, 1999 models have a heated seat thermostat that was incorrectly positioned during assembly, which can allow the seat surface to reach excessive temperatures and potentially burn anyone in contact with it.
