9 recalls across 10 model years
The Bentley Continental GTC has 8 recalls spanning 2006 through 2026, with the most serious recent issue affecting 2025-2026 models where an improperly tightened high-pressure fuel pump connection on V8 Evo-equipped vehicles can leak fuel and create a fire risk near ignition sources.
The 2026 model year has a separate concern: front axles may have been assembled with an incorrect shorter driveshaft, allowing the hub securing nut to loosen over time, which causes vibration and can result in loss of steering control. On 2020-2021 models, sharp edges on the airbag deflector brackets inside the front seat frames can tear the side airbags during deployment, leaving occupants without adequate side-impact protection in a crash. The 2020 model year also has a climate control system coolant pump that can allow liquid intrusion, causing an electrical short circuit and raising the risk of a fire.
Going back to the 2011-2015 range, two separate electrical fire risks appear. On 2011 models, a loose connection at the firewall junction can overheat under certain conditions. On 2012-2015 models, a loose battery cable can overheat and ignite a fire.
The earliest production year in the recall record, 2006, has a brake-specific issue on vehicles equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, where the rotor fixing screws can fail and reduce braking performance, extending stopping distances.
