BMW G 650 X US CHALLENGE Recalls

The BMW G 650 X US Challenge has 1 recall covering 2007-2008 model years, where a roll gear pin mounting attachment in the drivetrain can break over time and send fragments into the drive chain and rear sprocket, locking the rear wheel and causing a crash. When the pin attachment fails, the loose pieces have nowhere to go except into the chain and sprocket assembly. A rear wheel that locks suddenly while riding gives the rider very little time to react, making this a high-consequence failure at any speed.
