2 recalls across 4 model years
The BMW HP2 Sport has 2 recalls covering the 2007–2010 model years, with the most serious being a rear wheel mounting flange that can crack on 2008–2010 models, allowing the mounting bolts to loosen and the rear wheel to detach while riding, causing loss of stability and a crash risk.
The 2007–2010 model years are also subject to a fuel pump recall affecting bikes that received a support ring repair under a prior recall but did not subsequently have the fuel pump replaced. On those vehicles, the fuel system can leak, and if fuel contacts an ignition source, a fire can result.
