The BMW K1300GT has 1 recall affecting the 2009 model year, where vibration during sustained high-rpm riding or hard engine braking can cause the front brake fluid to foam, allowing air into the brake lines and significantly reducing front braking power. When air enters the front brake system this way, the lever can feel spongy or travel further than expected before the brakes engage, making it harder to stop in a normal or emergency situation. The condition is most likely to develop on longer rides at consistently high engine speeds.
