The BMW R 1200 GS Adventure has 1 recall covering 2005 through 2007 model years, where fuel tank mounting bolts can loosen and physically contact the front fork leg when the handlebar is turned sharply, restricting how far the bars can turn and reducing the rider's ability to steer and maneuver. When the bolts migrate out of their threads, they sit in the path of the fork leg during a tight turn, cutting off steering travel before the handlebar reaches its normal limit. That restricted range can prevent a rider from completing a turn or avoiding an obstacle, raising the risk of a crash.
