BMW R 1200 RT Recalls

The BMW R 1200 RT has 1 recall affecting 2014 models, where the rear shock absorber's internal piston rod can break without warning, causing the motorcycle to become unstable and raising the risk of a crash. This affects 2014 models equipped with the Dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment rear shock absorber, manufactured between late November 2013 and early May 2014. Because the piston rod can fail suddenly with no advance symptoms, the rider may have little time to react when the rear suspension loses its ability to control the bike's movement.
