The 2020 model year has a related issue where the same reverse gear control unit may not have been sealed properly from the factory, allowing water to enter, corrode the unit, and cause a short circuit that can also lead to fire. On 2022 models, a mounting point inside the headlamp housing can crack and break, letting the low beam reflector drop out of position. A misaligned reflector reduces the rider's forward visibility at night and can throw glare into oncoming traffic.
