The 2020 model year has a related but distinct issue: the reverse gear control unit may not have been sealed properly at the factory, allowing water to enter, corrode internal components, and short circuit, which also carries a fire risk. There is also a lighting recall on 2022 models where the mounting point for the low-beam reflector inside the headlamp housing can crack and break, letting the reflector shift out of position. When that happens, the low beam no longer aims correctly, reducing what the rider can see ahead and potentially sending glare into oncoming traffic.
