3 recalls across 10 model years
The BMW R1200 GS Adventure has 3 recalls spanning 2006 through 2017, with the most serious being a front fork tube defect on 2015–2017 models where the tube can pull free from the upper triple clamp, destabilizing the motorcycle and raising the risk of a crash.
On 2006–2011 models, a fuel pump recall addresses units that were previously repaired under an earlier campaign but never had the fuel pump itself replaced. On those motorcycles, the fuel system can leak, and fuel near an ignition source raises the risk of fire. Finally, on 2015–2017 models equipped with optional aluminum luggage cases, the rear reflectors can be partially blocked by the cases, reducing visibility to other drivers from behind.
