3 recalls across 10 model years
The BMW R1200 GS Adventure has 3 recalls spanning the 2006–2017 model years, with the most serious being a front fork tube defect on 2015–2017 models where the tube can pull away from the clamp assembly, compromising handling and stability in a way that raises the risk of a crash.
On 2015–2017 models equipped with optional aluminum luggage cases, the rear reflectors can be partially blocked by the cases, reducing rear visibility to other drivers. On 2006–2011 models that were previously repaired under an earlier fuel pump recall but never had the pump itself replaced, a fuel leak can develop near an ignition source and raise the risk of fire.
