3 recalls across 3 model years
The Buell Blast has 3 recalls across the 2000–2007 production run, with the most serious on 2007 models being a fuel tank that can deform under high heat, press against the cylinder head, and develop a fuel leak that can ignite a fire while riding.
The 2004 model year has a fuel tank vent rollover valve that can malfunction and cut off the air supply needed to replace fuel as it's consumed, starving the engine and causing it to shut down without warning while in motion. On 2000 models, the rear wheel sprocket can fracture, which can cause sudden loss of drive power, send debris toward the rider, or result in loss of control.
