BUELL XB12X ULYSSES Recalls

The Buell XB12X Ulysses has 3 recalls spanning 2006 through 2010, with the most serious being a foot peg mount defect on 2010 models where incorrect material properties can allow the peg to shift out of position while riding, causing loss of control. The 2006 model year carries two recalls. One involves the bank angle sensor, which can pick up vibration at its mount and, if nearby wires are misrouted and contact the sensor or its connector, can generate a false tip signal that shuts the engine off while the motorcycle is in motion. The other affects the side stand pivot bolt or its mounting bracket bolts, either of which can break and cause the motorcycle to fall, with potential injury to anyone nearby.
