CADILLAC CT6 Recalls

The Cadillac CT6 has 7 recalls spanning the 2016-2020 production run, with the most serious affecting 2019 models equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission, where the transmission control valve can wear and lose pressure, causing the transmission to shift harshly or the wheels to lock up suddenly. The 2019 model year also has a turn signal recall where the signals do not automatically cancel after completing a turn, which can leave them flashing indefinitely if the driver does not cancel them manually. On 2020 models with dealer-installed accessory 20-inch wheels, the tire pressure monitoring sensors operate on the wrong radio frequency and cannot trigger the low-pressure warning light, meaning a driver could unknowingly continue driving on underinflated tires. Stepping back to 2016-2018, the inboard child seat anchorage bars on some vehicles had excess adhesive applied during assembly that can block a child seat from seating and latching correctly, preventing the anchor from holding the seat as intended in a crash. The 2016 model year has a separate assembly issue where the bolt connecting the front passenger seatbelt webbing to the seat's anchor plate may be missing entirely, allowing the belt to pull free and fail to restrain the passenger in a crash. Early production from 2016-2017 has an exterior lighting issue where the parking lights can be excessively bright and affect the vision of oncoming drivers.
