5 recalls across 9 model years
The Cadillac CTS-V has 5 recalls spanning the 2004–2015 production run, with the most serious affecting 2014–2015 CTS-V Sport models equipped with the 3.6L Twin Turbo V6, where roll pins in the rear axle differential can fracture while driving, locking the rear wheels and causing sudden loss of control.
The 2004–2007 model years have two brake-related recalls tied to corrosion in high-salt regions. On 2004–2007 vehicles registered or originally sold in northern and northeastern states, front brake hose fittings can corrode and leak brake fluid, extending stopping distances. A separate recall covers 2004 models originally sold or registered in certain Canadian provinces, where the same type of corrosion affects the front brake hose fitting at the caliper.
The 2004 model year also has a fuel system recall where an electrical terminal on the fuel pump module can overheat and melt, allowing fuel to leak near potential ignition sources and raising the risk of a fire. The leak can also drop fuel pressure enough to reduce engine power or cause stalling.
