The Cadillac ELR has 2 recalls, both affecting 2014 models built without adaptive cruise control, with the more serious being an electronic stability control system that can fail silently without alerting the driver, leaving the vehicle without stability assistance and raising the risk of losing directional control. The second recall covers the same underlying issue from a Canadian regulatory standpoint, where the same calibration error prevents the stability control system from running its full self-diagnostics on affected vehicles.
