2023 Can-Am Ryker

The 2023 Can-Am Ryker has 3 recalls, with two tied for most serious: a fuel pump that can fail and stall the engine while riding, and front fender wiring that can chafe against the tire, short out, and also cut engine power without warning.

The fuel pump issue stems from a swelling internal component that prevents the pump from delivering fuel under pressure, causing the engine to cut out mid-ride. Separately, the position light and flasher wiring harnesses in the front fenders can work loose over time and rub against the spinning tire until they wear through and short-circuit, producing the same sudden stall. Both conditions leave the rider coasting without power in moving traffic. The third recall involves the brake lights, which can stay lit even when the brake pedal is not being pressed. Following drivers may interpret the constant glow as normal running lights rather than a braking signal, reducing their ability to react when the rider actually slows down.
