3 recalls across 4 model years
The Chevrolet City Express has 3 recalls covering the 2015–2018 production run, with the most serious being a 2017 model year ignition system defect where the engine can stall unexpectedly, raising the risk of a crash.
The 2015–2018 model years are also subject to a fuel pump control issue where a misrouted fuel tank temperature sensor harness can damage wiring and blow the fuel pump fuse, causing the engine to stall while driving. On 2015–2016 models, the front passenger seat sensor can misread the occupant and prevent the passenger-side frontal airbag from deploying correctly in a crash, leaving that occupant with reduced protection.
