CHEVROLET HHR Recalls

The Chevrolet HHR has 1 recall covering 2003–2011 model years, where extra weight on the key ring can pull the ignition key out of the run position while driving, preventing the airbags from deploying in a crash. When the ignition slips out of the run position, the airbag system loses its trigger signal, meaning the bags stay folded even during a significant impact. Until the recall repair is completed, owners should remove everything from the key ring except the ignition key itself, including the key fob if one is present.
