6 recalls across 9 model years
The Chevrolet Trailblazer has 6 recalls spanning 2006 through 2022, with the most serious being a power window switch defect on 2006-2007 models where fluid intrusion corrodes the circuit board and can cause a fire even when the vehicle is parked and unattended.
The 2021-2022 model years carry three separate recalls. On 2021-2022 vehicles, the emergency scissor jack can fracture during use if not positioned exactly as described in the owner's manual, causing the vehicle to drop. On 2021 models only, one or both front seat rear attachment bolts may not have been installed at the factory, allowing an occupied seat to shift forward in a crash. Also on 2021 models, contamination in the electronic brake boost system can interrupt the sensor connection, causing the power brake assist to cut out and requiring significantly more pedal force to stop the vehicle. A separate 2021 recall covers vehicles equipped with optional 17-inch sport terrain tires, where the certification label omits tire size and cold inflation pressure information, leaving owners without the data needed to inflate tires correctly.
Going back to the earlier generation, 2006-2007 models have a headlamp recall where the headlights can fail to illuminate, reducing the driver's forward visibility and making the vehicle harder for oncoming traffic to see at night.
