3 recalls across 2 model years
The Chrysler Dynasty has 3 recalls covering the 1988 and 1990 model years, with the most serious being two separate brake system defects on 1990 models equipped with the Bendix-10 anti-lock brake system that can reduce or eliminate both ABS function and power-assisted braking.
On 1990 models, the ABS hydraulic control unit can suffer premature seal wear and pump motor deterioration, causing the anti-lock braking system to stop working and leaving the driver with reduced stopping power. Also on 1990 ABS-equipped vehicles, a high-pressure brake hose can leak or separate at its fitting, further reducing brake assist and lengthening stopping distances. Going back to 1988, models fitted with the 3.0-litre engine can have leaking fuel injectors that cause the vehicle to exceed exhaust emissions limits.
