2 recalls across 2 model years
The Chrysler Fifth Avenue has 2 recalls spanning the 1984-1990 production run, with the most serious affecting 1990 models without automatic temperature control, where water can enter the windshield cowl area, corrode the heater blower resistor terminals, and cause overheating that can start a fire in the cowl area.
On 1984 models, the brake booster vacuum hose port at the carburetor base can freeze over during extended highway driving in cold weather, blocking the vacuum supply and reducing brake power assist on a second brake pedal application, which lengthens stopping distances.
