CHRYSLER LIMOUSINE Recalls

The Chrysler Limousine has 1 recall affecting the 1986 model year, where a failing transistor in the instrument cluster can overload a resistor with excess current, overheating it and potentially starting a fire inside the instrument panel. When the transistor fails, the resistor it controls receives more current than it can handle, generating enough heat to ignite nearby materials within the dashboard. Because the instrument cluster is centrally located in the cabin, a fire starting there can spread quickly to surrounding trim and wiring.
