The Dacia 1310 has 4 recalls covering 1983 through 1986, with the most serious being a windshield mounting compliance issue on 1983 models where the windshield may not meet Canadian safety standards for retention, raising the risk that it could separate in a crash. The 1986 model year has two bumper-related recalls affecting compliance with Canadian bumper standards. On both sedans and station wagons, a low-speed impact at around 8 km/h can knock the headlamp beam out of proper alignment, reducing forward visibility. On sedans specifically, the same type of low-speed impact can damage the rear lamps, leaving the vehicle without proper lighting visible to following traffic. Going back to 1984, these vehicles may not meet Canadian standards for lighting equipment and accelerator control systems, though the specific concerns were subsequently addressed through separate follow-up campaigns.
