The Dacia 1310 Sedan has 5 recalls spanning the 1984–1987 production run, the most serious being a fuel system integrity issue on 1986 models where the fuel filter can leak in a frontal collision, creating a fire risk. The 1984 model year carries three recalls of its own. One is a separate fuel system integrity compliance issue with no additional defect detail available. Another involves the windshield mounting, which does not meet Canadian safety standards, meaning the windshield may not stay in place during a crash. A third covers lighting and accelerator control systems, where the throttle control or exterior lighting does not meet the required standards. On 1987 models, the glove compartment door can swing open when the dashboard or vehicle body receives an impact, which could distract the driver or strike an occupant.
