DACIA 1410 Recalls

The Dacia 1410 has 4 recalls covering the 1985 through 1987 model years, with the most serious being a windshield mounting defect on 1986 models where the gasket may not be properly sealed, meaning the windshield may not stay in place during a crash. The 1987 model year has brake hoses that do not meet Canadian standards for whip resistance and ozone durability, which can mean the hoses degrade or fail and reduce braking effectiveness. On 1986 models, the headlamp assembly can loosen after a low-speed impact of around 8 km/h, leaving lights misaligned or unsecured. Going back to 1985, the side doors on both sedans and station wagons do not meet the required crush resistance standard, meaning the doors may deform more than permitted in a side impact and offer less protection to occupants.
