The Dacia 1410 Sedan has 5 recalls covering the 1984–1987 production run, the most serious being a fuel system integrity issue on 1985 models where the fuel system does not meet Canadian safety standards, raising the risk of fuel leakage that could lead to fire. The next most serious issue affects 1987 models, where the seatbelt anchorages can pull free from the floor in a collision, leaving occupants without effective restraint. On 1985 models, the seatbelt installation also does not meet Canadian standards, meaning the belts may not perform as required in a crash. Two further recalls cover 1984 and 1985 production: the 1984 model year has a lighting compliance issue where the exterior lights do not meet Canadian standards, and 1985 models have a bumper system that falls short of the required impact protection standard.
