The Dacia Sedan has 3 recalls covering the 1984-1986 production run, the most serious affecting 1986 models where loose or unsealed fuel tank connections at the filler pipe and vent lines can leak fuel, creating a fire risk if the fuel contacts an ignition source. The 1985 model year has rear lamp reflectors that fail to meet Canadian lighting standards, meaning they may not reflect enough light to make the vehicle visible to following traffic at night. On 1984 models, the seatbelt anchor points do not meet Canadian safety standards, which can reduce the belt's ability to restrain an occupant in a crash.
