DODGE CALIBER Recalls

The Dodge Caliber has 6 recalls covering the 2007 and 2010 model years, with the most serious being a 2007 accelerator pedal defect where the pivot bearing bushings can dislodge and cause the pedal to bind or stick, potentially preventing the driver from controlling vehicle speed. The 2010 model year has two additional recalls worth noting. On certain 2010 vehicles, a wiring short in the front impact sensor circuit can disable the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners entirely in a crash, removing the primary occupant protection systems at the moment they are most needed. Also on 2010 models, an incorrect door lock rod in the right front door can unlatch the door when the window is rolled down while driving, raising the risk of a front passenger being ejected. Recalls 3 and 4 describe the same door lock rod defect. On 2007 models, the rear wheel hub mounting bolts on vehicles with rear disc brakes can be too long to allow the parking brake to fully engage, which can let the vehicle roll unexpectedly.
