The Dodge Ram 3500 has 3 recalls, all affecting the 2010 model year, and all involve frontal airbag inflators that can rupture or explode during deployment, sending metal fragments into the cabin and striking the driver or passengers. Both the driver-side and passenger-side frontal airbag inflators are affected. On the driver side, a crash that triggers airbag deployment can cause the inflator to rupture, breaking apart and throwing metal fragments toward the driver and other occupants.
