4 recalls across 3 model years
The Ducati Hypermotard has 4 recalls covering 2018 through 2020 model years, with the most serious affecting 2019-2020 models where the battery's negative terminal can break, cutting power and stalling the engine without warning while riding.
The 2018 model year has a rear brake pad issue where the friction material can detach from the backing plate, leaving the rider with reduced rear braking and longer stopping distances. On 2019 models in the SP trim, the side stand weld can fail and cause the stand to break, dropping the motorcycle and raising the risk of injury to anyone nearby.
