4 recalls across 5 model years
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 has 4 recalls spanning 2020 through 2026, with the most serious recent issue affecting 2025-2026 models where excessive heat can damage the rear brake hose, causing a sudden loss of rear braking ability and increasing the risk of a crash.
On 2025-2026 models, heat from the engine or exhaust can degrade the rear brake hose running between the anti-lock brake unit and the rear caliper. When the hose fails, brake fluid leaks and rear braking is lost without warning. An earlier repair attempt for this same defect on 2025 models did not fully resolve the issue, and a second repair is required for those vehicles.
Going back to 2020-2022 models, the rear wheel axle can fracture while riding, causing immediate loss of control of the motorcycle. On 2021 models specifically, the generator rotor inside the engine can break apart, cracking the generator cover and allowing engine oil to drip onto the rear tire, which can cause the tire to lose traction and the rider to crash.
