FERRARI 612 SCAGLIETTI Recalls

The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti has 4 recalls, all affecting the 2005 model year, with the most serious involving the brake fluid reservoir cap failing to vent properly, which can cause the braking system to leak fluid and result in partial or total brake failure. The 2005 model year also has a transmission recall covering vehicles equipped with the F1 automated manual gearbox, where the clutch sensor can malfunction from heat generated during normal driving. When this happens, gear changes become extremely difficult or impossible, and the vehicle can become undriveable. There is also a compliance issue on 2005 models where a button labeled "passenger airbag off" is present on the console near the sunroof but does not actually deactivate the passenger airbag, and the adjacent LED light does not indicate airbag status. Owners with this button should not treat it as functional.
