Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Recalls

The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti has 5 recalls covering the 2005–2011 production run, with the most serious being a brake hydraulic issue across all model years where the braking system can lose function partially or completely, raising the risk of a crash.

The 2005 model year carries an additional brake concern: the fluid reservoir cap may not vent properly, allowing brake fluid to leak out and reducing or eliminating braking ability. Recalls 1 and 2 both address brake-related fluid loss on 2005 models, with the broader hydraulic brake recall extending through 2011.

On 2005 models equipped with the F1 automated manual transmission, a clutch sensor can malfunction from heat generated during normal driving, making gear changes very difficult or leaving the car unable to move. This issue affects 2005–2007 F1-transmission vehicles as well.

The 2005 model year also has a labeling issue involving a button marked "passenger airbag off" located near the sunroof console. The button does not actually deactivate the passenger airbag, and the adjacent indicator light does not confirm deactivation, meaning an owner placing a rear-facing child seat in the front passenger position could not disable the airbag as the labeling implies.
