The GMC C6500 has 1 recall affecting the 2007 model year, where the side plate on certain Ricon wheelchair lifts can crack, causing the lift platform to separate and drop against the vehicle's lift door. A separated platform can no longer safely support a wheelchair or its occupant during loading or unloading. The affected lifts are Ricon models S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510, installed by Farber Specialty Vehicles during vehicle modification.
