GMC TOPKICK 7500 Recalls

The GMC TopKick 7500 has 2 recalls, both involving the air brake system, with the most serious being a 2007 model year issue where the air compressor fails to build adequate pressure, leaving the brakes locked in the applied position and preventing the vehicle from moving. The 2006 model year has a separate brake concern involving the park control valve, which can develop an internal air leak or restriction. When this occurs, the parking brake may not release fully or at all, and on uneven ground the parking brake may also fail to hold the vehicle in place, creating a risk of unintended rollaway.
