2 recalls across 2 model years
The Harley-Davidson Electra Glide (FLH) has 2 recalls covering the 1979 and 1981 model years, with the most serious being a 1981 issue on saddlebag-equipped models where the rear shock absorbers can over-extend on rough terrain and push the brake caliper or brake line into the right saddlebag carrier, deforming the line and reducing rear braking performance.
The 1979 model year has a separate issue where the seat may have been assembled without two of its hold-down bolts, allowing the seat to shift or pull free under certain riding conditions.
