4 recalls across 7 model years
The Harley-Davidson FLTRXSE has 4 recalls spanning 2018 through 2024, with the most serious recent issue affecting 2024 models where a voltage regulator wire can chafe against the crankcase, short out, and cause sudden loss of both electrical power and drive power while riding.
On 2023 models, the rear brake line can work loose from its mounting, rub against the exhaust pipe, and wear through, leaking brake fluid and reducing stopping power. On 2020-2022 models, a software error can cause the brake lights to illuminate without the rider actually braking, which can confuse following drivers. Going back to the 2018 model year, the clutch assembly can fail to disengage fully, making it impossible to separate the engine from the drivetrain and causing a loss of control.
