3 recalls across 1 model year
The Harley-Davidson FXRST has 3 recalls all affecting the 2022 model year, with the most serious being a front brake line that can rub against the fuel tank, wear through, leak brake fluid, and cause complete loss of front braking.
The 2022 model also has two related rear suspension recalls involving the shock absorber mounting hardware. In one, a fastener securing the rear shock absorber can break and allow the adjuster to contact and damage the rear tire, causing a rapid loss of tire pressure. The other involves the mounting tab on the rear shock pre-load adjuster, which can also break and let the adjuster dig into the rear tire with the same result. Both issues can cause sudden tire deflation and loss of control while riding.
