On 2014 models, a body control module programming error causes the brake lamp to illuminate a smaller area than required, making the motorcycle less visible to drivers behind it. Also on 2014 models, a separate lighting issue means the instrument cluster provides no warning when a front turn signal bulb burns out, leaving the rider unaware that the signal has stopped working.
