3 recalls across 2 model years
The Harley-Davidson Softail Slim has 3 recalls covering 2014 and 2016 model years, with the most serious affecting 2016 models where the hydraulic clutch system can fail to disengage the clutch after the motorcycle has been parked for an extended period, making it difficult or impossible to pull away safely.
Both remaining recalls apply to 2014 models and involve lighting compliance. On those bikes, a programming error in the body control module causes the brake lamp to illuminate less area than required, making the motorcycle less visible to drivers behind it. There is also a separate issue where a failed front turn signal bulb produces no warning to the rider, leaving the turn signal dark without any dashboard indication that it has stopped working.
