3 recalls across 5 model years
The Harley-Davidson XG500 has 3 recalls spanning 2015 through 2019, with the most serious affecting 2016–2019 models where brake calipers can corrode internally in coastal or road-salt environments, causing excessive brake drag that raises the risk of a crash.
Both remaining recalls apply only to 2015 models. The fuel pump on those early units has a poor seal at the inlet that can interrupt fuel delivery, causing a brief hesitation followed by an abrupt return of power. There is also a lighting compliance issue on certain 2015 models built through early March of that year, where the motorcycle may have left the factory without a rear reflector, reducing its visibility to drivers behind it.
