HONDA CBR600 Recalls

The Honda CBR600 has 1 recall affecting the 1989 model year, where fuel vapor from the carburetor air vent can enter the fuel pump breather tube, and if that mixture becomes combustible, electrical arcing inside the fuel pump can ignite it and start a fire that spreads to nearby components. The fire originates at the end of the breather tube and can reach surrounding parts of the motorcycle if not addressed. The ignition source is the fuel pump's own internal electrical contacts, meaning the risk is present whenever the pump is operating.
