5 recalls across 19 model years
The Honda CBR600RR has 5 recalls spanning 2003 through 2026, with the most serious affecting 2024-2026 models where a cylinder head defect can cause a connecting rod bearing to fail, locking the rear wheel or leaking oil onto the exhaust and starting a fire.
On the fuel delivery side, two separate recalls cover fuel pump impellers that can deform and cause the pump to fail, stalling the engine while riding. One covers 2007-2017 model years and the other covers 2018-2020 model years.
Going back to the earliest production years, 2003 and 2004 models both have rear brake linkage corrosion issues. On 2004 models, the corrosion can progress until the linkage breaks entirely, resulting in complete loss of rear braking. On 2003 models, the same corrosion causes binding and rough brake operation, though the rubber boot surrounding the linkage conceals the damage while it develops.
