HONDA VFR1200 Recalls

The Honda VFR1200 has 1 recall affecting the 2010 model year, where the driveshaft universal joint can fail due to assembly errors, causing the joint to break apart or the yokes to separate while riding. When the universal joint gives out, drive power to the rear wheel is lost suddenly and the broken components can catch or lock up the driveline, creating a serious loss of control risk. The joint can also generate significant heat as it deteriorates, which weakens the bearing shell and accelerates the failure.
