The 2002 model year also has a transmission circlip that was not properly seated, which can allow gears to lock up and cause sudden rear wheel lockup. There is also a side stand spring bolt whose washer can deform and allow the bolt to break, letting the side stand drop while riding and triggering the ignition cut-off switch, which stalls the engine without warning.
